EndPovertyEdmonton’s Game Changers are the larger actions, made up of smaller ones spread across the community, that will have the net result of essential and radical change for those experiencing poverty. The six EPE Game Changers are:

#1 ELIMINATE RACISM

#2 LIVABLE INCOMES

#3 AFFORDABLE HOUSING

#4 ACCESSIBLE & AFFORDABLE TRANSIT

#5 AFFORDABLE & QUALITY CHILD CARE

#6 ACCESS TO MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

These six Game Changers are supported by two overarching Goals: Reconciliation and Changing the Conversation.

A poverty reduction Game Changer is a priority area or strategy that not only aims to deliver on its own specific goals or outcomes, but also elicits an array of other significant, positive outcomes that cascade both within and outside of its area of emphasis, and consequently profoundly impacts the course, character, or extent of poverty experienced by human beings, both individually and collectively.
