The 10th Annual Hurtig Lecture on the Future of Canada will be held in Convocation Hall, at the University of Alberta on Wednesday, October 21st.
This year, the topic is The Future of Canadian Cities and featured speakers Don Iveson, Mayor of Edmonton, and Naheed Nenshi, Mayor of Calgary, will address the opportunities and challenges municipalities can expect moving forward.
Following the mayors’ speeches, Lois Harder, chair of the Department of Political Science, will moderate an armchair Q & A with Iveson and Nenshi. Afterwards, there will be an informal reception in the foyer of Convocation Hall.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.
