Society of Saint Vincent de Paul: Guest blog

The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is in the homes of the poor in Edmonton every day.  Our volunteers visit struggling people wherever they live and listen to their experiences.  Our Mission is to serve any way we can, and that means we continue to collect donations from generous Edmontonians and pass them along to those in need, at no cost to them.  While connecting people with services in their communities , we constantly see the lack of basic necessities, furniture, and household items which turn an apartment into a home.  Transportation assistance and emergency food are constant requests. These are future tax paying citizens, parents we want included among those with an improved quality of life in our province.   Our voices are theirs; we speak their dreams.  A call to 780 471 5577, or print messages to ssvpdonations@gmail.com, or ssvpedmonton@gmail.com starts the program rolling.
